4th March at Sithney
We’re having a driving Day at Sithney with a few fun punches for those that want to practice. There’s a new piece of land we’re going to be able to use this time so that should be good. Also there will be the usual timed trial (fun only) through the river.
Most of the site is on grassland which is food for the cows so please try and keep in each others tracks so not too much of the grass is lost
Catering is on site now as we have a new provider of breakfasts, burgers & hot drinks. Please use them as they travel a fair way to cater for us & the food tastes good as well!
Kick off is the usual time at 10.30am and the scrutineering closing at 10.15 so don’t be late!
There was a bit of a delay with the results at Grampound as we needed to get all the punches & cards in. Please feel free to offer to get the punches in as soon as you’ve completed your card & after 3pm. We have a number of mini hammers for removing the nails and it is much appreciated
See you there
Steve
.
P.S. We have had a couple of complaints that we accepted punch cards after the 3pm deadline and that it disadvantaged those that finished on time. We discussed this at committee and in the interests of being completely fair this wont happen again. At the next competition punch challenge when the finish time is announced at the drivers talk that will be it to the minute! It will be every drivers responsibility to get the card in front of Chris & Ron in the marquee before the finish time. Any card received after that time will be void and no excuses will be accepted (ie stuck in traffic……then run!) I know it may seem a bit tough but competitions are taken seriously by some and we want to be seen to be completely fair to all.
