Committee news

We discussed the low numbers in the extreme class and that most of the original entrants to that class seem to prefer not to ‘knock themselves out’ and enter an easier class.  We always said that it would be reviewed after two events and due to the poor entry at Fraddon that will be the last ‘extreme’ event.  Now the problem is how to keep everyone happy regarding points already earned!  Many options were discussed but none were totally fair so in the end it was decided to bring an end to this years challenge series and start a brand new one in January that will run for the whole year.  This means that there will be trophies at the Christmas FREE drive/social day for the winners of the challenge series to date.  It also means that Christmas will be the main prize giving event of the year and not the AGM however we might have a few trophies at the AGM for ‘Spirit of the Event’ and ‘Driver of the Year’ etc.

As for next year, more details will be announced at the prize giving suffice it to say there will be two classes, three types of punch, handicaps and similar to last year.  To cater for those who like to play hard some of the reds will be a bit harder and also on the Driving days we are looking to set out the Gold Punches to cater for anyone with no fear!

Don’t forget on the 27th Dec. there is a prize for the best decorated xmas vehicle and there will be a raffle & prizes as well as the free mince pies/cream & mulled wine.

See you there

Steve
